So, one of the best ways to protect the color of our teeth is to go for a healthy diet. Also, if you have braces or dentures, you need to be really aware of the foods responsible for teeth discoloration. Here are some examples of foods which you should eliminate from your diet.

Wine- chromogens and tannins are able to stain teeth. These two ingredients are needed to make red wine. On the other hand, white wine can also affect the color of teeth. Not only wines, studies have proved that all types of drinks can discolor your teeth. So, try to avoid any types of drinks from your diet. However, if you have already discoloured teeth, you can take help of teeth whitening. And once the treatment is done, you can prevent foods responsible for teeth discoloration.

Tea- tea is not free from tannin. Most of the people like to take tea, whereas tea contains more staining ingredients than coffee. Many people like to take black tea instead of normal tea. They do not know how much black tea can affect the color of their teeth. But green tea, herbal tea and some types of white teas are not full of those elements which may stain your teeth.

Cola- brown soda is full of choromogens which cause discolouration of teeth. Many people think that light colored soda will never create a stain, but that is totally wrong. Bright colored soda contained with high acids will create a heavy stain in your teeth. So, make yourself away from cola if you want to keep your teeth white for a long time.

Sports Drinks- sport drinks are highly stainable like cola. Sport drinks are also full of high acids which affect the enamel region of your teeth. If the layer of enamel starts dissolving, then your teeth can’t resist any type of stain.

Berries: there are many colored fruits, like blueberries, blackberries, cranberries, cherries, grapes and pomegranates, which may stain your teeth. But if these fruits are stuffed for a long time in refrigerator then the juice of those fruits will stain on your teeth. So, eat those fruit without keeping it for a long time.
